One Saturday morning about a month ago I had pushed the Bandit up the drive to the sidewalk (trying not to wake the family) and was getting ready for a ride. A very nice gentleman (roughly my age) and his wife came walking by and complimented me on my bike, asked how big it was, how new, etc. He told me he had a bike, too, a Suzuki cruiser, I believe he said. He told me where he lived. A house I pass every day coming and going from home less than a block away. I think he even mentioned something about maybe we ought to get together and ride sometime.
I've thought of him several times as I've passed his house and tried to remind myself to holler at him about a ride one of these days. I waited too long, I guess. May God bless and comfort his family and friends. Wish I had gotten to know him. Funny, I don't really know any of my neighbors even after 2 1/2 years here.

Jay died instantly in a motorcycle accident last Tuesday night.
Many people in Eldorado Estates knew Jay (3109 Voltaire Blvd.). Jay sold several homes in the addition while a salesman in a model home.
Visitation: Sunday, July 30. 2:00 p.m till 4:00 p.m.
