This looks slick.  Is it any good?  How does it compare to Holeshot's version?  Which is better?

The Scott's damper is excellent from anything I've read. It is more commongly used on dirt bikes and is very adjustable. I believe it has adjustable force as well as different adjustments for sweep, so you can set different resistance at full lock, etc.  It is expensive however.

I thought that you couldn't use these types of dampeners on Bandits.  Wouldn't the handlebars be in the way of the dampener?

Nope, Scotts site shows a B12 app... even pictures:

It does require a dab of welding though...

AFAIK, this is the only option for a steering damper for the 1G bikes.
The Holeshot setup is only for the 2G bikes.

That is a pretty slick setup.  I have heard of people liking that type of steering dampener.  Mainly because they can adjust it while on the go.

Well, if any welding is required, it's not for me.  Back to Holeshot for me!

I agree, I don't want to have to do any welding.
