Yesterday I attended the basic Accident Scene Management training class. It was a day well-spent for several reasons. First, it allowed me to ralize how much first aid and rescue breathing I remembered from taking the Red Cross course 15 years ago...I feel like I might actually be able to help someone! Second, the class covers some things that are specific for motorcyclists, like how and when to remove someone's helmet, how to get someone out of the road, and how rescue breathing is done on differently on a motorcyclist.
Our class was led by an EMT, who said that she wished more EMTs had the motorcyclist-specific content.
The course was presented by Accident Scene Management Inc and you can check out a class schedule at their website, (
