Just struck a deal this afternoon for an older Honda XR650L. The owner hasn't riden it in a couple of years since he had a WR426 and a KTM 525 EXC/Supermoto. It needs a little TLC, like a fresh battery, repair or replace the seat cover, tail light lens, headlight (the headlight had been robbed to make the WR426 street legal), replace a broken spoke and a carb cleaning. The PO had swapped in KX500 USD forks and piped & jetted it. For $750, it seems like it's too good a deal to pass up!

Bastard! Now I have to buy a DS. Looks pretty clean, except for the purple bark busters. Take those off ASAP.

Sweet score.

Nice!  :congrats:

And very patriotic colors, too!  :bandit:

And matching milk crate... I'm impressed!  :bandit:

Wow Red01 looks like you got a Big Red one, in more ways then one. That is a great deal and its not even middle age yet with those miles. Is this your 1st in-a-few years dirt bike? If so your going to have a lot of fun slipping and sliding through the woods and a much easier excuse to go riding. Darn! thats a good price..
:yikes: :thumb: :beers:

Wow...$750 and it's an "L" with full street legal registration I assume?

You've got a couple of hundred to spend on repairs, but overall it looks great for the bucks.

All ready to ride across the street in your neighbours lot I guess?

No, I have an old Yamaha trials bike, too. I can't trials ride worth beans though. Since it's so old, it actually has a seat, unlike today's trials bikes, so it makes an OK trail bike if you like to ride slow, more technical stuff.

That's EXACTLY why I bought it.  :crackattack:
Now you have to get off your duff and get one so we can ride all those wonderful trails just down the road from your new house.

I don't know what he was thinking when he put on those purple bark busters and bar pad, but they'll get replaced or at least Kustom by Krylon.
