Been away a bit, under the weather a bit but now I'm back, sorta.  It doesn't look like much is done but what I ended up doing was opening up the harness and checking every damned connection and making sure they were all soldered and not just crimped.   The bandit had a strange gremlin that caused it to misfire briefly, sometimes once sometimes a few quick stutters in a row, only under load only after a right turn.  Obviously it was either electrical or fuel and seeing as how my carbs were just restored that left three things: my new coils, my repaired cdi, or my old harness.  I figured I'd start where I had not yet been and while there were no conclusives, there were a few minor wing dings that I suppose could under some conditions cause what I what experiencing.  2 things still nag at me though that I suppose I'll have to revisit:  float heights, and coils, maybe cap to wire connection :?:  My ultra black project exhaust components are on the way and so is my new ignition switch.  Just a few more doohickeys here and there and it'll be right as rain.

Anyone got a set of 41mm clip ons?
Clutch/plates/springs?

Here's a pic.

So the clip ons came in, it took a little finagling and will probably take a bit more but it's pretty close so far.  Ebay 50 bucks-

Not really off topic but here's some neat stuff.  I figured out how to make quasi- bar end mirrors and relocate my front signals.  Kinda trick...

Yep, they clear the tank and yep it was free and yep there was no modification whatsoever (for the mirrors).  I used the old signal bracket (I Think), for the new mirror bracket and then drilled 2 holes in the fairing bracket for the rear signals that I moved to the front.   Piece of cake. :bigok:

Not much new, I got my tire on finally and mounted it... not literally, someone else mounted it....hmm, that doesn't sound right either.  For the record, no one 'mounted' my tire but it was installed and balanced on the rim.  Bunch of other stuff bolted on and torqued, forks filled, front brake bled, rear shock in...  I guess that's it for now.  Here's an ok pic., now back to the egg-nog.

HFS! My rear wheel came back with a fresh Conti-force SM 150/60-17.  Looks much better with the lower profile.  Anyway, just plugging away at it.  There is a local foundry that offers sand blasting, I'm having them sand blast the inside of the gas tank before it gets por-15'd after that it's geting a fresh paint job from a local shop in the same color as the front fender if you can make it out.  Very similar to Nitrous Blue, maybe some custom graphics of some kind.  Finally off the jacks and back on the kickstand-  Exhaust is next I guess.  Wahoo-
