ANYBODY HAVE AFTERMARKET WHEELS ON THEIR B-12?

I am no big expert but I have a 17" 2003 Busa rear wheel on my 1988 750 GSXR and I have a 18" 1990 GSXR rear wheel on my 1988 600 Katana
As long as it has the "Cush Drive" no big deal. Might check with your local motorcycle guru to find out some info.

TL, BANDIT, & V STROM OLD GSXR1100 SHARE THE SAME TYPE WHEELS. GSXR MODELS ARE THE SAME SOME ARE WIDER AS YOU GO UP IN CC. 600 750 SAME WIDTH 1000 1300 SAME. EXCHANGE YOUR WHEELS FOR CHROMING HERE IN daytona $525.00.. BIG DIFF IN AXLE & CUSHION DRIVE BETWEEN THE GSXR & GSF MODELS. MOST ROTORS ARE THE SAME. :beers:

I'm "reviving" this not-so-old thread.

Based on a few responses, are there a few RC Components wheels (http://www.exoticsportbike.com/rc_components.htm) for other Suzukis that will fit the Bandit?

Thanks,
  Dave

I thought the original poster stated that those were no longer available.

On second look though, it appears that wheels for any bike listed alongside the Bandit will also fit the Bandit.  Did that make sense?

Also, the Bandit's rear wheel is a 5.5".  Will a 6.25 fit?  Would a 6.25" wheel necessitate a 190 rear?

I know the 190 tire fits with no prob on the B12! The 6 bolt sprocket cush drive i think makes the diff on if it fits? I think the prob with some wheels for the B12 was the ridged bolted sprocket wheels won't hold up under the B12 torque!!! Also i think the TL1000 rear is the same OEM part# so if so !!!? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=250015022359&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=015  Take this info as just what i think is so! I'm no expert on it!   Good luck!    :beers:

B-T-W.....THE "STAR" WHEELS FROM RC COMPOMENTS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR THE BANDIT.....I DON'T KNOW IF THEY STILL MAKE THEM FOR ANY SUZUKI EXCEPT THE HAYABUSA.....BUT IF THEY HAVE A LEFTOVER SET LAYING AROUND FOR A TL1000.....THEN, HAPPY DAYS.....
THANKS AGAIN.....

THEY LIST THESE ON THEIR WEBSITE.....BUT THEY DON'T ACTUALLY HAVE THEM.....

THEY ORDER THEM FROM RC COMPONENTS AS THEY TAKE ORDERS FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS.....I JUST CONTACTED BOTH OF THEM AND THEY DON'T HAVE THE WHEELS OR THE WILL TO PRODUCE THEM.....

THANKS FOR THE HELP.....I CHECKED WITH A FRIEND OF MINE, WHO HAS A HAYABUSA ALSO AND THE AXLE IS A DIFFERENT SIZE THAN THE BANDIT.....SO ACCORDING TO HIM AND THE SUZUKI DEALER, THE HAYABUSA WHEELS WILL NOT FIT.....

AS FAR AS THE TL/SV1000 AND THE GXSR1000 WHEELS GO.....I HAVEN'T FOUND ANY INFORMATION ON THEM.....

IF ANYONE HAPPENS TO RUN ACROSS A GOOD USED SET OF NEW LEFTOVER OR USED AFTERMARKET WHEELS FOR A 2001 BANDIT, PLEASE DROP ME A NOTE.....THANKS.....

I don't have the 2K to put into aftermarket chrome shoes for the Bandit , so I got some aircraft stripper at a auto parts store and stripped the dull looking black paint off the lips of the wheels. Then I polished them with Mother's polish. I did that last May and to this day my mechanic brags to all the customers at the local bike shop about it. I did'nt even remove the wheels off the bike. It is a low cost modification that really brings out the bike's apperance as if you spent big bucks.

The only thing that matters is how fast you can get from 0 to 60, because top speed is secondary
