B-King to make production?
« Reply #15 on: April 17, 2005, 06:20:51 AM »
MMMMMMMMMMM, the ONLY bike Suzuki has made in the last decade hat has made me even think of trading from the Bandit.  But if they called it a Bandit ("B" king for Bnadit?) I'd rob a bank tommorow (instead of when it is released)

ps just read in an Aussie mag "rapid" about a replica B King - you supply a Hayabusa and it can be B-Kinged!!!
That's impressive,
and I'm not easily impressed.

Look, a blue car!

Interesting...very interesting. It looks mighty painful to the old buttocks though. I'll keep the bandit and the $14,000 savings thank you very much.

Yes, I read the link.  I had read the gizmag article before you posted it.  I was only interested in the thoughts of the other board members.

Excuse me. Why didn't you say so?
There was no hint of that when you posed the question...

I thought it was for "Boost" - which is why they're giving the production bike a new name, since it's boostless.

More evidence the (boostless) B-King clone may be the Bandit's replacement:

From the 'National Enquirer' of motorcycle publications, the UK's MCN:

B-King 600 due for 06
Suzuki’s Hayabusa-powered B-King isn’t enough – the firm is going to roll out a 600cc version using a GSX-R600 engine, MCN reveals on Wednesday, August 17.

Ah you get MCN in America? One of my messages was printed in that after I ran over a badger lol. Yeah the MT 01 is a weird looking bike, but with a stroke that long, should be a hilarious ride

No, I don't think so - unless it's available in some of the big city book stores like some of the other Brit M/C pubs (Bike, Streetfighters are a couple I know you can get in the city)... but we can surf their site.

The 600 production version of the B-King is gonna be the GSR600.
If they treat this bike like the Bandits, the big-bore version will debut next year.

Quote from: "Raptors & Rockets"
First official Suzuki GSR600 B-king photo

I bet some of you have been eager to see this guy in real life. Here is the B-Prince (that is our term, not Suzuki's) in black and white. We have not got the official specs yet and Suzuki will not reveal them until after the Paris show. But Raptors & Rockets expect it to have a detuned version of either the K5 or even K6 GSX-R600 engine. The bike is aimed directly at Yamaha FZ6 and Honda CB600 (599) that both have high performance in-line four engines derived from their supersport models. Suzuki already have a strong midrange line up in SV650 and Bandit 650. Even though the new GSR600 has got a high performance engine, very chunky swing arm and underseat exhaust we expect it to be priced for the punter. That new swing arm looks very similar to that of the K6 GSX-R600. Expect it to be more expensive than both the SV and Bandit, but not by much. We have received a new photo of the 2006 GSF1200 Bandit S as well for your viewing pleasure. Read more about it in our brief overview further below along with the K6 GSX-R's. Thanks to all you guys that sent us the spy-shot to the right.

Looks like they cheapened it out. USD forks are gone, so are the radial brakes, no oil cooler or chin fairing.
Can't say the frame or headlight styling does anything for me either. I think the artist conception looks better.

Why is it when the Japanese make a naked bike, it's detuned and downgraded, but when the Europeans do it, none of the goodies are gone, just the plastic? In fact, the Speed Triple gets more[/u] juice than the Sprint...
