I went to the motorcycle show last weekend and got to see some neat stuff.  It was nice being able to see the new Buell which actually impressed me.  I also got to see the new B-king.  It is definitely a big bike.  When you sit on it,  the tank and the air scoop cowling looks huge when you look down on it.  In some ways, it is a scary concept.  Take a Bandit and give it 80 more horsepower, inverted forks, and braced swingarm and you have the B-king.  It would be kind of scary thought riding a Bandit with that much more horsepower.  It should be interesting to see if the other manufacturers come up with their own version in the next couple of years.

The Honda EVO6 concept made it's debut at the recent 40th Tokyo motor show. This naked musclebike is powered by a Goldwing engine, although having just about half of the wing's dry weight.



Wonder if it will make it into production?

Yea...I don't think I want a 180 HP naked bike, even though Suzuki is claiming 512 lbs dry?

Coming off a B6, with only 65-70 HP, it's hard to imagine that I would ever need anything like even the 100 HP of a B12.5 (but the extra torque at low rpm's would be nice).

Personally, I don't like the appearance of the B-King, but I don't like the new FZ-1 nor the MT-01 nor the K1200R either. I DO like the appearance of the new Bandit 1250, but I really want the lightweight, 750 class sport tourer, UNDER 500 lbs, c/w hard bags.

I like the look of both bikes, but the price differential between the U.S. and Canada is disgusting. $14,999.99 CDN; $12,899.00 USD

Do some math with the current value of the dollar, and the bike that costs under $13,000 on one side of the border is priced at $16, 199.99 on the other

I'd be extremely surprised if it did.
Yes, the Rune is a concept that made it, but that's pretty unusual for a Honda concept bike.
I was really hoping Honda would have put their NAS concept into production, but it never made it.

I have been making comparisons to both the 05 B1200 I sold and my new B1250 and in just the 3 weeks that I have owned it I have noticed allot of improvements. One with regard to your comment, I feel the B1250 handles much lighter in every way so far, even straddling  the bike at a stop or at low speed, it seems much more sure footed. If I didn't know better I would believe that the B1250 is physically lighter. Off the bike it walks about the same with no noticeable increase in weight. But using the center stand is very deceiving because it take much less effort to prop the bike up due to some changes made to the leverage mechanism. I can actually stand it up with no hands and with slippers on, weird how they did that
