Well I finally got back to the house with the new B1250. I had to trailer it home because of the cold weather. I got a chance to slip out for a little bit today to get the break-in started and all I can say is I've never ridden a bike as smooth as this thing. I hit 85MPH before I even knew what was going on. I am going to have to really keep an eye on my speed on this thing.

The acceleration is as smooth as silk, as well as the ride. I couldn't feel any vibrations in the handlebars at all. As ZenMAn stated in his little review, there is no wind buffering at all on the helmet. It is very clean air coming off that windscreen.

As far as I can tell, the handling is very light in feeling. I've ridden Goldwings, CBRs, Ninjas, old GT550s and everthing in between with the exception of cruisers. I have to say that this thing rates up at the top for handling and control. For a bike as big and heavy as this is, it handles like something 2/3rds it's weight. Suzuki did a real good job on this bike. It was deffinately worth the wait.

Smooth power and torque is right! Wait till you snap on the throttle about 75-80 mph, at the peak of the torque curve... hang on!

You can't tell from the pics, but what was it, about 42 degrees? With a 25 mph wind chill? All I know I couldn't feel my fingers or toes by the time I got there.   The way home wasn't so bad, at least I was riding with the wind...  

Yeah those two bikes sure look good together, huh? We definitely need to hook up for some riding in a couple months. My turn to head up to Kansas, I guess...

Awsome!  That must turn some heads, seeing twin (new) bikes going down the road together. I was showing my wife the pics of #99,"You gatta see what the new Bandits look like." I stated with zest in my voice . "Your not getting another bike!" She exclaimed with anger in hers. "Well not right now"  Isaid. (just bought a SV1000 in Dec,and still have the 98B12)Always pushing the envalope.

I just noticed in those pics, the new Bandit lost a pair of bungee hooks compared to the 2G. I use my 4 all the time, I'd sure miss the front pair not being there.

I already found a solution to that problem. I took the seat off and wrapped my bungee net around the seat attaching it to itself. Be careful to not interfear with the mounting locations. It works good and less intrusive to the body pieces. I have paint rubbed off the B4 beacuse of that same net.

But I like to carry a tail bag on the seat.  



I wonder if spools could be added to the location where that silver fastener is in the long side cover, right by the seam between the seats? That would solve it.

Alright, your very first farkle, accessory, add-on... and a chrome license plate frame too! The mods begin pretty quickly, aye?

   Sweet looking rides and much like us up here, counting the days until we can ride for more than just one afternoon every other week or so.  

I did get my 06 out for a ride with my son on his SV 650 the other day.  He led on the way out to the mountains, I took the lead on the way back.   He is still blown away by the way the Bandit left him like he was standing still.  Enjoy the power and use it only for good, or passing.
