pics from my Chicago to STL ride on my B6
« on: June 27, 2011, 02:08:41 PM »
have to say I am impressed by the touring ability of the bandit... held 75 - 80 no problem, very confortable... new seat may be in the future something a bit more cupped and softer but other than that was a blast!!! got rained on on the way there, but nice on the way back.  Wife left 2 days early so i did not get to see her on the way out there but on the way back she followed me and we did some coutnry roads and hit a winery for a glass of wine to break up the ride... was a blast, stoked to do it again in a few weeks but this time will be on the harley. awesome wedding... so much fun!

here are some pics!

huge wind farm

hit a winery with the wife on the way home

did hit alot of construction

this is the view you get alot in Southern IL

2 night shot of the blue led guage lights

sorry not so creative... i only pulled out the phone to snap some pics when i could be 100% safe so i did not get a bunch...w as a fun fun time! very stoked to head back way down into southern mo wiht my bro and buddies coming up...

You found a curve!  :trustme:

On a more serious note, glad to hear you had a good time and the B6 impressed you with it's touring abilities.  Thanks for sharing your photos, too.  :bandit:

The Bandits tour better than one would think.  Last month I went from San Diego, California -> Flagstaff, Arizona -> Telluride, Colorado -> Grand Junction, Colorado -> Salt Lake City, Utah -> Reno, Nevada -> San Diego again.  From sea level in San Diego to 12,095 feet on Independence Pass in Colorado.  And this was on my 1991 Bandit 400.  Fun.   :thumb:

am surprised you dont go to sleep on roads like that! i couldnt ride roads that straight without going nuts.
at least it sounds like it was a good ride and you got to spend time with wife number 1 and have a glass of wine with wife number 2.
