Minnesota gets tough on the Ton
« on: July 21, 2005, 09:06:35 PM »
From the Minnesota 2005 Special Session 1 Senate Bill 105 (Transportation Omnibus Bill):
C) TRANSPORTATION POLICY... 11) requires the revocation (for at least six months) of a driver's license for exceeding the speed limit if driving over 100 miles per hour.

(Not sure if this is still on the floor, or if it passed.)

Being Minnesota's roads are froze over half the year its probably a good idea.  Actually its not a bad idea as i assume it would target young kids driving 100+ in urban areas.

As well as young men doin' 205 mph on their stock RC-51's.

...and the old fart that wicks up his B12 on a lonely country road and gets caught by the local deputy.

This is olso the same state that passed a 50mph speed limit on snowmobiles a few years ago.

speed limit`s on sled`s are a joke and rarely enforced . the dnr generates much more in fines from paperwork, safety, sobriety, checkpoints . i`ve got a 600 triple (yes it`s a suzuki motor ) puts out 125-130 hp in it`s current state of tune .and it gets me through the Michigan winter
