Givi Saddlebags for 2G bandits
« on: September 16, 2006, 01:07:45 AM »
My wife has a 2001 B600 and I have a 2003 B1200. We are looking at getting Givi Bags. Which of the cases the E35N or the E45N work best with the 2g bandits?

The 1200 is stock and the  600 is slightly lowered.

I'm not sure which is "best", but I believe the 45 holds the most...

I have 3 Givi 36L bags on a Banditt 1200, (maybe these are the E35N -their website will tell).
With these bags the bike looks a bit stern heavy, but is acceptable to me. I talked to a guy who had the 3 of the larger bags, but did not see the bike. He was OK but his wife refused to get on the back. I've never had anyone on pillion either.

They hold a LOT of stuff & they Never leak... but they ain't feathers.
More good news is the bags/hardware are strong enough to hold the whole bike up, should you fall over. This happened Again this summer when from a distance I saw some gal back up -arse end  the parked bike and beat it.
'Tis a slow motion flop.
I think you'll like 'em. Get's you into the trucking biz on the cheap.
Cheers
Bandit 12, Yoshi can, jets, KNN, Gen Mar risers, 3 Givi 36L hardbags

Check out  www.bikepics.com  go to manufacture and Suzuki 1200 Bandit  pg. 3 FlyingTurtle1.....3 pics of my '01 with a full Givi setup. Gotta say I loved it. Put a Givi Maxima trunk on my Futura and kept it when the Aprillia left and it's now on my FJR. Givi stuff is hard to beat and so far they stand behind thier things if there are any problems.
