It's the new flavor of the week for me.  Several '05 still floating around that'll go out the door for about $6 grand.

Whatever happened to Mishadbull and his cross country trip on his way back to the UK?  Anyone have the link to his trip site.
Didn't he get robbed in Alaska or something.

I want to see if he has any negatives to say about the bike.

He made it to the UK, and checks in once every 6 months or so.
I don't remember any problems with the bike.

Why did you rule out the 1000?

$2,500 more MSRP
50lbs heavier
-15mpg
insurance

The 650 is just a better package for what I want to use it for too.  Supposed to handle better and be smoother to boot.

Everything else is pretty much the same.

I've been told by folks who've riden both that the 650 is preferred over the 1000...neither are going to set any new speed records.  The biggest issue mentioned was some FI glitches in the 1000.  Try to talk someone out of a ride on 'em B4 you jump in.

There's a red one just like your pic at my local dealer with the optional Givi cases - all three. Nice looking bike! I'm sure my wife would be more comfortable on it, but I'm not ready to give up the B12's power.

So get the 1000.  It's really damn close in power, has lower gearing and is really smooth.  Might even weigh a few pounds less than the B12!  Used '03 1000's abound for $4500-$5500.

Any fuel injection glitch has been addressed with aftermarket "chips".  And Stroms sound pretty awesome with pipes.

Bust on it all you want.  Function looks better to me than anything else.  I really don't think it's that bad at all... especially in person.
Best headlights on the market too, from what I've been told, which is more than any Bandit can say. :monkeymoon:

It may not be Dead Sexy, but my good looks make up for that :bigok:

OK, I agree the Aztec is one UGLY car! Right up there with the Edsels and Pacers, but I don't think the DL is that bad looking.
