If you were to go with a European standard to make up for the thrill of your Bandit, which would you choose?  I personally really would like a Tuono.

Sorry - hadn't seen this before.  Thanksgiving and all...

They are all pretty sexy to me.  Money no object?  Brutale all the way.  In reality, I'd probably end up with a Triple... and be damn happy about it.  They are just bad-ass.

I really had the hots for the Brutale.  That is until I found out that it only gets 25 mpg.  That really upset me and turned me away from it.  Other than that, it is exactly the bike I would want.  So I swayed for the Tuono.

Speed Triple!  Ok, well, I'd really prefer the Sprint ST, or maybe the Tiger, but a Triple will do in a pinch!

All really nice bikes, but I don't really want to try to live with any of them.

For a European option I would likely choose the Triumph ST, but I would consider a Ducati ST3.

Anybody else see the new Tuono factory in Bike this month????   Thats why it got my vote.  Ive always a har...er...place in my heart for the brutale, but I think the Aprilla wins.

In the real world Id take the ST.  Before I got the B12 I had it narrowed down to a bandit or an ST, whichever popped up in my pricerange first.
I used to think the brain was the most fascinating organ in the body.  Then I thought, 'well sure, look who's telling me that.'

For real world for me, I'd say the Speed Triple. All those other bikes are expensive prima donnas that'll cost you to buy and cost you far more to keep.

I've seen the Sprint before and thought that it looked like a nice biike.  They did a review in Sportrider and one of the thngs they didn't like was lacking heat shielding.

How can Aprilla or Ducati come close to being worthy to anything but a fashion statement (true junk). People that love them admit they are a maintenance and engineering nightmare. In my opinion the only thing worth any respect on that list is BMW. At least they make en effort to provide effective engineering with the user in mind ahead of head turning fashion, but then again so many people are not happy unless they are miserable.

Ha, ha!  Too funny.  I've never heard Aprilia or Duc referred to as "junk".  I was thinking the opposite - how the soul-less BMW was up there on the list with the others.

From what I know of the two bikes and knowing people who have owned both, One has issues and the other is just expensive.  I have received too much info on how unreliable Ducati's are.  They are a great handling bike and are great to ride. On the issue of Aprillia, they are pricey, but I have never heard of any real issues with them on reliability and they are a blast to ride.  My only thing against Beemer's is that they seem too yuppy.

the MV is just too sweet.  Of course I want one, but would never spend my money on it.

Actaully I am seriously looking at the Beemer K1200R Sport.  The sports version gets a Bandit style half-faring looks pretty cool.  It's totally away from the squared off design seen on the new Beemers.  And the standard R model is the ulgliest bike I've ever seen. The Sport version is one of the prettiest.  The Beemer has mega power and is the most confortable bike of the bunch.

I stand corrected that my comments about both bikes are a bit over the top, but when you get the big picture of what they have the nerve to charge for those bikes which compared to any comparable Japanese bike, I take it as a personal insult to my intelligence and can almost hear the corporate manufactures of those bikes laughing hysterically at there investment to profit margin, "America people, they are so, how do you say? fashion gullible! Haaaaa-Haaaaa...Breath....Haaaaa-Ha!"
