Man drugged, motorcycle snatched

Chandigarh, August 31: A Ropar resident recently paid the price for being courteous to a man, who was reportedly stranded at the Punjab Civil Secretariat on August 8.
According to his complaint, Karamjit Singh gave a ride to a person from the Punjab Civil Secretariat till the Matka chowk. He alleged when they reached the Matka chowk, the person asked him to stop the motorbike. Karamjit said the person administered some intoxicant by allegedly making him sniff a handkerchief.
He has alleged that the person took away Rs 5,500 and his motorcycle. Karamjit added that he could barely remember how he reached Patiala bus stand where he regained consciousness and came back to Chandigarh.
A case under Sections 328/379 of the IPC was registered at Police Station-3.
