Hello!!!
« on: April 21, 2005, 10:19:51 AM »
Hi every one, just thought I would do what the subject says and introduce myself...

My names Andy 32 years old from Birmingham (some one has to live here)

Started on a yamaha TDR 125 seven months ago then did a das course last week and passed first time :)

I now have a Bandit 600 gsf and I love it! It is a N reg but in immaculate condition for £1400.

It is now i think my learning really starts, and this is why I have joined this forum to pick up hints and help when I need it.

At the moment I am still getting to know my bike and have not pushed it passed 4000 revs in any gear.  All my biker friends say I should goto about 8000 to feel the power of the bike but all in good time, as Im in no rush to crash it, as after my 125 this is a differnet kettle of fish.

all the best

Welcome aboard!  Is your bike bone stock or does it have some mods?  Lot of good tips here for improving the bike.  Are you handy with a wrench?  If you can do the work yourself and have a couple hundred bucks to spare, you can make this bike sing.

Good idea! The only problem with this is that you may go through spark plugs faster. These engines are designed to rev a lot more than that, you are borderline lugging it, which could cause the plugs to foul out and go bad quicker than normal. Still, like you said, better than wrecking!
