That's hysterical but...
Quote

Here's what you get:

    * Modified Original Big Wheel
    * Rubber Front Tire
    * Handlebar Anchor
    * Twin Axle
    * Hardened Steel Rear Axle
    * Custom Seat Riser
    * Stretch Kit with stout 2x4 Extension
    * Foam Core to rigidize the Fork, Bars and Frame
    * Custom Materials and Finishing to Match Original Colors
    * Corrosion Resistant Zinc Oxide and Stainless Steel Fasteners

How are you supposed to do endless burnouts with a rubber front tire???  I used to wear through that front tire (which is probably why they did it).

:lol:  :lol: Those things are after my time.  I had a red metal tricycle, a metal pedal car, and a metal pedal tractor.

No plastic cr@p for me! :stickpoke:

I also had all metal roller skates and an all metal scooter with REAL inflatable tires.

It's funny - I fall in between the generations, I guess.  I had the metal trike (mine was blue) and the metal tractor in addition to several big wheels.  I was a little old for that kind of thing by the time green machines came out - but I was jealous of the kids who had them.  The cool thing is that the old-school metal stuff wasn't disposable.  When my kids are visiting with my folks, they still get to ride that old stuff.

As I outgrew things I made the mistake of never asking to save anything.  It all got sold or given away when I lost interest.  Now, I wish I had some of it.  Not sure what I'd do with it, really, maybe set things around as decorations or something.  You know, a tractor in one corner, a trike in the entryway by a plant.

Same thing happened with my bicycle.  I had the coolest bike on the street!  A Columbia LongBoy stingray with a 5 speed shifter on the bar between my legs, a cool metalflake-looking vinyl seat, and a metallic green frame.  When I got my mini-bike, I don't remember riding my bicycle again.  Maybe I did.  I guess it lanquished in the garage for a few years before Mom & Dad sold it in a garage sale.

See, I'm blaming everything on Mom & Dad, but there's a couple of motorcycles I wish I'd hung onto just for the h$ll of it, too, and I can't blame that on them! :shock:  :duh:

Cool, an adult Big Wheel.  I was looking for something to put my old pressure washer motor on for some assist at the pedals.

Good gawd!
  Have you ever lived in an apartment complex where the kids ride those damn things around on the sidewalks all day long?
  The noise is deafening!

    Can you imagine the apartment complex 'bubbas' riding those things around, drunk, at 2 am?   Somebody"s gonna get killed!

I'm gonna build one
the site has directions on how to mod all the current models you can buy from any toy and department store.  If you never rode one 70/80s when you were a kid, you just won't get it.  It was mandetory on my cul-de-sac. We rode the things through 1/2 of our adolesence with the front tire flattened & split in two. Later the back seat was removed so you could ride it scooter style.  Once the rear axle was gone though, that was it done;unless you had some fabricating teens or project happy fathers on the block ready to do some rebuilding.

spit outs, drifting, power slides, inertia drifts, peel-outs
rumbling scraping plastic sounds were everything
maybe that is why new harley riders are so big on pipes they were all bigwheel kids
