Speaking of VIN #'s...
« on: July 16, 2007, 02:11:49 AM »
...in one of the threads a few months ago, someone mentioned that the VIN's were in production order.  Is it the last 2, 3, 4 digits?  The digits after the zeros?  Mine ends in 00196...#196?

I believe the first 12 letters and numbers are ID codes, for things like model, year, paint color, etc... and the final 5 numbers are the production order.

So yes, your bike would be the 196th of that model/year to come off the assembly line.

I think it's kinda cool to have a '07 B1250, sorta like having a 64 1/2 Mustang.  :bandit:

Ahhhh, nice car.  My buddy found a convertable, w/ ac, sitting on the side of the road for sale.  Bought it on the spot.  I never get those deals.  My favorite is the 69 Boss.  I'd give my left...side...to have a 429.  Hmmm, some of my favorite things start with "B"; Boss, Bandit, Beachcraft, blo...

Just cuz it's fun to pick on you...  :stickpoke:

The 64.5 Stang was the original. The B1250 is far from the original Bandit...

So it'd hafta be more like the 70.5 Camaro.

Just cuz it's fun to correct you when you nit-pick on me...  :stickpoke:

I didn't say the original Bandit. I said B1250.  :bandit:

I also said "kinda" and "sorta like".

But I'll go along with the 70 1/2 Camaro comparison, just to make ya feel better.

So, I wonder if it's the 196th Bandit, or 196th ABS Bandit?!  This stuff is important you know!
