Happy Birthday el Bandido!

The Teal Bandit is 4 years old, and sitting at 30,564 miles on the odometer.  Nearly 13K of that has rolled since el bandido blew out last year's birthday candle.  My goal for this year is 15K.  (OK, so I have too many useless goals!)

Teal? Was that a factory color? Anyway, always great to see mileage up on a bike. Some people disdain that for some reason, like it's a sin to put mileage on a bike. What's a bike for but to see the road roll underneath you (and a some new world wrap around you)? :beers:

It's that metallic surf green stock color, but it's a blue-green that changes according to the light.  Not as wierd as the color on the new Satunr Vue Hybrid, in which the entire vehicle appears to be painted in several colors, ranging from blue to green to yellow depending on the angle between you and the part of the car you're looking at.

No vehicle is an investment to be preserved, and and inexpensive bike like the Bandit has more value in being used than being stored.  Ride on!  And on!

:congrats:

Glad to hear you're getting some miles racked up on the beast!

I love that color, if it's the one I'm thinking... isn't it kinda similar to the color they put on some of those old Yamaha Enduros... y'know the 2-stroke dual-sports (we called 'em "on-off" bikes back then) in the early 70's? Yours might be a bit lighter and more sophisticated.

Anyway I'd like to check it out sometime up close... in another 6 weeks or so I'll be healed up some and either I zip over your way or you zap over here... we're only a few hours apart and we both have a lot of great roads in our areas.

Help put on some of those 15K miles you're talkin' 'bout.

Paul:  Right bike, wrong garage!

Zenster:  still looking forward to meeting up with you!  Between your surgery and waiting for my buddy here to heal from surgery to remove a colon tumor, my rides have been about like my sex life.

(Did I just type that?)
