Man killed in motorcycle crash in southern Iowa
OSCEOLA, Iowa A man who was trying to stand up on his motorcycle as it traveled down Interstate 35 in southern Iowa was killed when the bike ran off the road.
The Iowa State Patrol says that according to witnesses, 43-year-old Jon David Jones was standing on the seat of his motorcycle with his arms crossed. The motorcycle veered into the median and crashed into a guard rail about eight miles south of Osceola.
The State Patrol says Jones was riding alongside another motorcycle when the accident happened around 6:30 last night. The Patrol's report does not list an address for Jones.
