Well, I just bought the cortech saddle bags that go with the tail bag, which I've had for a couple months. I can't wait to get home and put them on. Nice looking bags for a sport(ish) bike.

Well, I put them on last night. They look very nice as a set with the tail bag. I don't know if I'll leave them on all the time yet. Installation was pretty easy once I figured it out. Just remember, the deeper end of the saddle bags goes towards the front. So, when you unzip them, you're unzipping towards the front. They come with four clip on straps that you quick connect to the front and back of the bags and the straps are looped to loop around the bike somewhere. I slipped them around the frame like a slip knot in the front and around the liscense plate holder in the back. They also quick connect to the tail bag in the front and back so the whole thing is like one unit. They also have the nice protective padding underneath like the tail bag. Very nice looking bags. I'm very pleased. But, alas, for now, all I can do is stand back and look at them. More snow today.

Those are the same ones I have on my B4. I love them, I can't wait to get the tail bag to go with them though.

I've had the bags and tail pack for several months now and the bags suit my meager needs more than I really need. I posted earlier (and so will report again) that if you have a Corbin seat on your Bandit, you can mount the thick straps for the bags UNDER the seat, to keep any passenger happy and give a little more security against a walk-off thief. The pipe clearance is still there and it just looks better, too. If you want to do this with the stock seat, there are two tangs, one on each side of the seat, that would have to be removed and I don't know if I'd want to do that, but the Corbin sits just fine mounting front and rear only, FWIW.

Hey Ron, how d'ya strap that thing on your bike

Is that strapped over the driver's seat? Under it? I have the the red Cortech sport and saddlebags and they strap over the pillion seat.

I don't have saddlebags, so this may just be hearsay.
From reading posts on this and other boards over the years, it seems even though bags may come with protective padding, they still may scratch the finish. Saddle bags will move more that a tank bag and they're subject to more road grit and grime. If it was my bike, I'd get some of that clear plastic protective film to put on the tail section.

I have mine laying across the bike under the seats. I slid it a little more forward than it probably should be, but I wanted to make sure they wouldn't block the taillights. The rear strap is under the rear pillion and the front strap is under the main seat. I absolutely love them and have had no problems thus far.

I have the corbin saddle bags and large tail bag. I have had no problems with scratching , just make sure you keep the pads clean and free from dirt or grit. The saddle bag yoke sits on top of my seat and the tail bag ckips to them, the hold down straps are secured to the rear foot peg frames and keep the bags from moving up and down, I secure the rear straps across the fender under the light, the bags can't slide forward or backward with this setup. No movement,no scratches. I have the large round tail bag and the smaller sportbike bag. Both fit the same and secure the same. It only takes a few seconds (3 plastic snap/buckles) and the whole rig comes off as a unit. Great for taking your gear indoors on trips. If you want to choose between the large and small tail bag I would recomend the large bag, much more room for gear, nearly the same cost. A word of caution, these bags are not waterproof, they come with rain covers but they don't keep all the water out , especially on the saddle bags.

No thats not me, I ride to work from Snyder to the Airport at different times(shift work). If you want to see my bag set up e-mail me @ scorpian550@verizon.net to set up a meet. The bags are off the bike but you can get the idea of how they work.
