Wow you should jump on that one Red01, looks like the ultimate duel purpose bike. You have to give him credit to make something that most of us just think about. Unless it preforms awful it must be hard for him to let it go.

By the way Red01 did you ever refurbish that Honda CR? duel sport you bought from your neighbor? I'd like to see how you fixed it up as it had allot of potential especially for the price you paid for it. $100 I think right?

You mean the XR650L I bought from a co-worker?  :stickpoke:
Yes, I got it running and re-equipped for the street again... just haven't taken any pics of the "finished" product yet. (I do still need to put a new cover on the seat.)

Well all I could remember was that it was a red Honda air cooled dirt bike, too lazy to research the post when I have you LOL. Wow 650 that was good deal. I keep looking for big old duel sport deal down here but mostly all you see are either hogs or MX bikes.

I sure hope it performs better than it looks, because to me, it looks awful. I'll go ahead and post the pics because someday that link will be dead:

Now here's a guy who took a street bike and turned into something off-road capable and did a nice job of it:

This bike will give you sneering rights at the overpriced Beemer GS and the KTM's

Like how confident this guy is with this POS. Somehow I think the modern Euro bikes might just hold their own against that pile. I wouldn't throw a leg over that thing on a dare. The old school rear suspension, old flexi-flyer conventional fork(what is that-a 33mm?) and a frame from the dark ages combined with that much power and weight would turn Yama-hop into a life threatening event. I bet that thing swaps out when parked!
