I feel so dumb....
« on: January 21, 2009, 11:43:33 PM »
this is bothering me that I haven't figured it out and I'll probably   :duh:  when I find out, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to remove the seat...

I need to clean the carbs, and I assume I'm gonna have to remove the gas tank to do so, but to do that it is apparent that I will also probably have to remove the seat.

thanks for your replies in advance...I'll be readying my forehead for the doh slap

What year and size Bandit?

On a 2nd Gen B12 or B6, insert the key into the lock on the left side of the bike. The lock doubles as a helmet lock and seat lock. Turn the key clockwise and the seat will pop up in the rear, then slide it towards the rear and you can lift it off.

I can't speak for the other Bandit's
