Today while working my courier run, I did happen to notice the bike 2 cars back. I kept an eye on his progress through the freak hour traffic, I noted his lane change into our far right overtaking lane. Then I heard him/her kick into it big time, I figured he was getting the sqeeze, knowing he was to my right, rear (cause I could hear that) I moved to the far left of my centre lane, and gave him the room he needed to be still alive today. No i'm not good, but you can chalk up another one to loud pipes do save lives.

You know Mick, I've actually come to the conclusion over the last couple of weeks that it really doesn't matter what you ride, what you wear, how loud/quiet the bike is, how careful you are etc etc

SOME BSTRD IN A CAGE IS GOING TO TRY AND KILL YOU

In the last 2 weeks I've ridden the B12 (big black and quiet), the M750 (small, blue and LOUD) and the KLR650 TALL, and loud - and it didn't matter which one I rode, there were still dickheads in cages who just don't look at what's going on around them.  One guy, thank christ I was on the KLR, decided that he was going to enter the roundabout while I was just going past his front end.  The KLR is louder than the B12 and taller than the M750, and I was wearing a red/silver and black jacket and the bstrd didn't see me.  Why didn't he see me - because this absolute wanker was on the phone, lighting a cigarette and looking down at what I can only imagine was the stereo.

Why am I glad I was on the KLR, because I really don't think the B12 or the M750 could have mounted the roundabout a cleared off anywhere nearly as well.
