It's Official (At least here in Canada) 2006 B-12 & Haya
« on: October 01, 2005, 09:01:50 PM »
Hey Everyone:

I sat on a 2006 Hayabusa & Bandit today after a secret tour of my local dealerships back room.

The New B-12 is definetly not a rumor and the one I sat on came in a very nice black. New Plastic, New Seat, New Headlight & digital gauges but otherwise feels like a B-12. (Only the S model will be available in Canada).

The 2006 Hayabusa has a new paint scheme but that is it. Same old Busa. My friend tells me a refresh is due in 2007.

I was not allowed to take pictures, but I did get these off the Netherlands Suzuki site.

See both bikes here.

I would certainly expect a '07 update on the Happy Bus, especially since Kawasaki has unvieled their '06 ZX14/ZZR14 (name varies by market).

You guys up north get all the good stuff. New bikes, different paint, better beer. Maybe they do it to keep you happy in the winter. Yes, I'm jealous. :monkeymoon:

That's all true, but you have the 6's.

I wonder if I could just buy the seat and the fairing. It would probably cost me 3 grand. Dang I hate my headlight.

Oh no you said digital guages? You mean like tach and speed or just trip meters and clock. I hate digital tachs and speedo's. Does it still have an analog tach and speedo?? I hate that crazy electronic schtick! I'm seriously consider buying this bike this year but if it has any digital speedometer or tachometer I'll pass and go with a Z750S. Unless there is an option for analog guages. Or maybe a leftover 2005 model but I love the new look for 2006 I seriously hope they didn't ruin it with crazy electronic dials that you can't see for sh!t in the sunlight like the Z1000 go check out a picture of it. Yuck!

Are the new guages like this??

If so what a bummer! Oh well back to the Z750S I guess or if I'm lucky a leftover 2005 B12 in black.

rider123, if you're in the USA, a leftover is your only option for a Bandit as the '06 won't be sold in the USA.

I had an opportunity to toss my leg over the new ZX-14 today at the International Motorcycle Show in Long Beach. I then walked over to check out the new Busa I hate to say it I think I would pick up the ZX-14 in January if I had enough spare change. The ergonomics on the ZX-14 kick the Busa's ass, I could only imagine the ride!

I guess we will find out if she is as bad as she looks in mid January! I went to the show with Turbo Bob and he will be tossing down the cash to buy one as soon as they hit the show room!

Turbo Bob trying it on for size!
