When I called Ivan to inquire about his Jet kit he was very accommodating and returned my calls on my question of stock pipe modification and tried to get me to buy his Yoshimura pipes in stock.

I could swear that someone just posted saying that Ivan highly recommended Muzzy exhausts for the Bandit.  Now I see here that he is pushing Yoshi's.  I can't find the other quote, but I know it is around here somewhere.  Seems like a strange practice to offer one brand to someone, and then push another on someone else.  Or all he cares about is pushing stock out. :stickpoke:

Ivan told me that the Muzzy full system was the best one made for the Bandit.

But if you're just getting a slip-on...  I would think the Yosh & the Muzzy are almost identical in performance.

Since 04 all I have seen is Ivan pushing Yosh based on his dyno research. Sure seems to work and look fantastic on my 05 B12, not to mention the price I paid $270 which included shipping for my RS3 stainless oval.  But most young people on this site would rather do mods piece meal then proven kit.

I wouldn't think there is much performance difference from one slip-on to another.  Go with sound, cost & quality. You'll need to jet a Gen 1 bike anyway.

Its true. All the aftermarket exhaust systems provide mainly strait through unrestricted  breathing. All that’s left is the matter of decibels with respect to you neighbors. The Yosh has a pretty mellow idle so I am able to slip in and out of my retirement community without disturbing the neighbors. Its replacing the stock pipe without correctly considering intake and jetting where the performance ends and the fashion statement begins.
