Finally the end of the project phase (image warning)

So I DID get the bandit inspected and licensed for the road last friday, first dyno run on saturday, and it's faithfully taken me to work all week (note that I live on one of the nicest twistiest road in the province and when I say to work I mean several runs at the 'road') On the way to the dyno run it rained so hard the cars were pulling over to the side of the highway, in ALL situations it has pleased me immensely. Maybe it seduces me to speed a little too much :grin:, I'm getting a ticket I can just feel it.
Thank to this board I've got the bandit this far, there's still stuff to work out but i'm glad the project phase is over.
Here's some pics, note the blue mid pipe (jetting changed since), and the rear signals/fender which I haven't switched out and cut yet. Instrument cluster isn't the way i'd like it yet either, maybe it truly never ends.

Just be choosey about where you wick it up and hopefully you won't get any performance awards from Officer Friendly.

Very slick.

If my fairing ever breaks, that's what I'm doing with my front end. I love the bullet look of the instruments!

Bike looks sweet, what are the head lights off. Approx what size are instrument and head light brackets? Would love to do that to my bike..Graham :congrats:

I have all the bits you will need to get the job done. Renthals, headlights & brackets, speedo cover are all spare now as I have moved a fair way from that phase.

Thanks guys, the 'archaic old dinosaur' is keeping me very happy. Still playing with some settings to try to get it just right. In order to beat out the huge dent in my header I HAD to remove the baffle in there...can't help it, that little piece was just slowing me down  :grin: okay not really but :lol:
Both the headlight brackets and the instrument mount are cut from a 12" by 12" piece of aluminum, with plenty left over, the instrument bracket is approx 7x8" and the headlight ears 3x6". Amazingly of all the stuff I've had to do...the instrument and headlight mount are the cheapest, under $20 for both.
The headlights are hella angel eye driving light...I don't use the angel eye portion but they look decent and they throw out tons of light, much more than I expected anyway. The setup cruise control is selling is WAY slicker though.

Just a thought, Mademiriam... were you planning on putting on a solo saddle with full tailpiece,
and removing the rear footpegs?

If you do, then those rear footpeg brackets would make killer headlight brackets.  :bandit:

they sure would...but I want to keep the rear pegs there. Although I don't carry lots of passengers, it sure is nice to have the ability. Rescued a few broken down bikers before, not to mention taking people for quick little spins.
