And how do you know this (e.g. no friction modifiers in these lower weight oils)?
It is says "energy conserving" on the circular label, it has friction modifiers. In fact, I think its a fed requirement for low weight oils like these to have the stuff. Having firction modifiers, however, might not be a bad thing for a bandit clutch. It really depends who you are talking too. I know a few guys that use Mobil 1 5W30 in their bandits and have had no clutch issues. These are well respected bandit owners on the "other" bandit board. This particular oil has friction modifiers.
Dale Walker recommends 15W50 Mobil 1 and I like the higher viscosity for the hot climate here in TX.
