Anyone have any of these on their bandit? How do they mount? Are you confident there gonna work in a slow drop? I have the case guards on there but my son dropped the bike in the garage last summer and they still touched the case enough to take some paint off. So I am contemplating these. Not to mention the trouble in taking them off to get to the timing stuff.

I don't have 'em - I went with NRC covers.

How often to you need to access the timing stuff?
I've got >34K on my bike and the only time the signal generator cover has been off was to install the NRC replacement - and a 5* advancer while I was at it.

Sliders???

Anybody even make these for a Bandit?

I have seen adverts and pics of nylon? round post looking things sticking out of the GSXR type litre bikes.... never on or for a Bandit.

I put a set of Suzi engine guards on mine. Although official parts, they came with short bolts = trouble which never shoulda happened.

Anyway. toppled over each side since then, (just to be fair and even).
Bent the right brake lever in a creative way... actualy works/looks better, methinks. It is not long enough to pull my fillings out in a panic stop. The bar ends and to some extent the fairing look better in the dark, though, and the engine guards need paint.

One of the guys at a local bike nite said it shows that you've been there...

Any protection is welcome and saves $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ guys.

Saving the natural leather on your bod is another story.

Yes I read that posting. I was hoping the guy that posted the last post in that thread would read here and let me know how his mounted. I read somewhere that some of these mount on the engine which seems awefully strange to me. I guess I could call one of the LSL dealers and see.

Blabride old chap, the frame sliders I have (and posted pictures) fit onto the frame and come as a complete package, bolts and all. They took me five minutes to fit. I would be loathed to fit anything onto the engine casing for fear of damage in a drop.
My frame sliders look rather large in the photos but they only stick out about 1" outside the casing line and they are rather unobtrusive.
They cost less than $US100

I e-mailed Banitmania this week concerning the frame sliders or mushrooms as they call them for my B6. They were very quick to respond and great to deal with. They put the frame sliders on their e-bay site with a buy it now button, 10 avaiable. The total was $138 US shipped.

I've been wanting to get a set myself. I was kinda leary about the sliders that mount on the head though. There is'nt much thread there, and I thought they may do more damage than good in a slide.

The sliders that are on their e-bay site are the ones that bolt to the frame. Not the sliders for the motor.
