JACKSON HOLTZ
GOVERNMENT CAMP --

A Portland man was in the Clackamas County Jail on Monday after police said he led them on a high-speed motorcycle chase from Boring to Government Camp.

*name removed*, 26, of Portland rode a motorcycle at speeds up to 115 mph through blind curves and construction zones along U.S. 26 eluding police four times over about 30 miles, said Lt. Gregg Hastings, an Oregon State Police spokesman.

Hastings said *name removed* was first reported to police by drivers who reported seeing him passing between cars on the center median eastbound near Boring.

Four times, Oregon state troopers and a Clackamas County sheriff's deputy tried to pull *name removed* over. Each time, *name removed* accelerated to dangerous speeds, reaching as high as 115 mph, police said. Each time, Hastings said, police broke off the pursuit.

As police and deputies entered the Government Camp area, bystanders and construction workers pointed out the direction *name removed* was headed, Hastings said.

Officers found *name removed* walking away from a motorcycle near an apartment complex. He was arrested on four counts of felony attempt to elude on a vehicle and one count of reckless driving, Hastings said.

Hastings said *name removed*'s Driver and Motor Vehicle Services records don't have a motorcycle endorsement. His criminal records show he has a history of moving violations.
