Microsoft Virtual Earth

MS Virtual Earth is a map and satellite view of the world.
Between this app and Google Maps, it's amazing what you can see from your computer screen.

Here's a view of the road up to Mt. Evans that I rode a couple weeks back:


To install Virtual Earth, go to http://maps.live.com.  Be warned, the highest-detail views take a pretty good set of processor/memory.

This seems a lot better than Google. I actually could see my house on these maps. Pretty cool.
