:stickpoke: Real racers turn left - AND RIGHT! - at every race, not just a couple.

j/k - while I don't watch the big NASCAR races, I love going to the local tracks and watch the locals dice it up on the ovals, paved or dirt - and the Figure 8's, too.

I don't know which bikes are which colors....The only bike that I knew was Nicky Hayden's.  Sorry if that ruined it for ya! :duh:

NO spoiler here, so no worries

Have to say I was pretty impressed with the coverage. Actually kind of weird hearing American commentators instead of the usual guys that cover GP.

My only gripe is that you never get to see what's really going on at the back of the pack. Still some good racing going on back there that you miss out on.

Hell I know a majority of the riders and it's still hard to tell most of the race who's who. This is where GP could actually take a lesson from Nascar and use those little bubbles with the name/number that follow the car around the track so you can easily tell who they are.

can't mis the Nascar race...they wreck better!

They I guess you missed the first turn of Catalunya from last year!

Actually the Nascar race was anti climatic today too...but at least Gordon won again.

Talk about anti-climatic....anyone watch the Soprano's finale?  I was pissed. :stfu:

Good racing, good coverage except I agree, it would be nice to see whats going on behind the 1st 3 bikes. I thought Rossi was going to take Stoner at the end, but the Duc is just too fast for the Yamaha.   Dan

Yeah, those Ducs have some seriously sick power. Not only in the straights, but the corners too. Stoner is one hell of a kid. That guy is going to definately go places, and if he doesn't take the championship this year he's sure to get one soon. Think Pedrosa is going to be a contender as well.

I'm a Yamaha loyalist (don't be mad...lol) from owning my FZR, but I admit they have a ways to go in their engine department. Granted this is the first year for the 800cc machines, but the Ducs and Honda already have their act together and Yamaha needs to do some catching up.

Still holding out hope that Edwards can pick up a win this year. He made it up to 8th early in the race, then dropped down to about 13th, but got back up to finish in the #10 spot. At least he edged out Hayden

I'm a long-time Yamaha fan from back in the King Kenny days, but I also root for Suzuki. Their MotoGP efforts have been weak ever since they went to the 4-stroke format, but at least they finally got a win with Vermuelen's victory at the French GP, so maybe they're finally starting to get things right with the new, smaller bikes.

I know the duc has crazy power, but lets keep in mind that in this race, for once, Rossi on the yamaha actually passed stoner on the duc on the straight. And he couldn't pass rossi several times on the straight. I think people remember Qatar when the duc just blew everyone away by 7-8 miles in top speed. It's down to 2-3 now so not nearly as easy.
Rossi is the MAN, but I think we've all learned that he's human, he makes mistakes, and yes he even seems to crumble under pressure....well at least once. That guy is one class act.
Also keep in mind the tire difference, michellin was supposed to win this weekend, bridgestone is making up amazing ground they did really badly in spain just two years ago.

Red....you watched the race yet so we can officially "spoil" it?

Rossi will more than likely go down as the best the sport has ever seen. Well, he already is the best, but going to be hard for anybody to come along and top what he's done. They said he's had 90+ podium finishes. That alone is insane besides taking 5 GP championships.

I agree that the tires are playing a big factor this year. With the rule changes they made that limits the tires it's making it harder for them to choose the right ones. Didn't the Bridgeys end up having 8 out of the top 10 spots? Rossi ran wide several times during the race. He may have gotten on the brakes too late, but I'd put my money on the Michelins fading on him.

I don't need the results withheld anymore... not since I knew the red bike won.
