Motorcyclist eludes cops after chase into N.H.
The Lowell Sun

LOWELL -- A motorcycle driver who ran from police after he was caught popping a wheelie on Beacon Street late Sunday morning led police on a wild chase through several towns before getting away in New Hampshire., Lowell police began chasing the man after an officer spotted him about 11 a.m.,
police said.

When an officer gave chase, the man accelerated prompting police to stop chasing him in a heavily residential neighborhood.

A short time later a Dracut police officer spotted the man on Route 110, and chased him.

That officer got the biker to stop, but as the officer got out of his cruiser the biker hit the gas and attempted to flee once again before losing control and dropping his bike.

When the Dracut officer tried to grab the driver the driver elbowed him, righted his bike, and took off again heading toward Methuen on Route 110 while passing numerous vehicles in no passing zones, at times at speeds of 90 mph, police said.

A Dracut officer followed him onto Interstate 93 north before breaking off the chase and continuing to Rockingham to turn around and return home.

Police said the Dracut officer saw the man again while stopped at a red-light in Rockingham, and the motorcycle driver went the wrong way up an off-ramp and once again headed north on the interstate, this time eluding police.

Police had not arrested the man last night, but know who he is.
