Haven't read it yet. Art Henning takes a sentimetal tour of western USA on Gen 2 B12.

Brian Catterson has turned "Motorcyclist" into the very best magazine in just a few months.

great read, but it was a 2nd gen 600s. and he did something like 19000 miles all over the U.S. he started out on the east coast then road south then west to the coast the north east back to the east coast. that articale got me through a boring third shift last week. and a slow monday today LOL!

It was my 2001 B6, and I put a lotta miles on it! That Bandit was my first motorcycle, and I took that trip just a few months after I got my M1. I've since sold the old girl to a fellow in Toronto who plans on doing the same ride! He may have joined the forum already, I recommended it to him as a great source of info and fun.
I'm thrilled to learn you've read the article, it was a joy and honor to write.
While my Bandit is gone, it will always have a special place in my heart; it played a major role in changing my life.

It was a great story, Ari. I'm sure we only got the highest of highlights from an adventure like that.

Now that you've sold the B6, have you replaced it with something else?

Thanks for that great article. I read and re-read it on a flight out and back to Ohio last month. The kind of trip you described doesn't come along too often. If you don't take the opportunity you might never get the chance again. Life has a way of interfering! To me, you really described the essence of a motorcycle trip; one part riding, one part self-discovery.

Great story Ari- the B600S is a good bike- was my first bike too - never did get a chance to take a mega trip (over 1000 miles) with it, but that bike stood up to track days, commuting and the Dragon- good times - I kind of miss the B6, now that I have a B12...it was fun to wring the speed out of the thing, with the B12, you barely have to try - thanks for the article.

really liked the story...sorry I called you Art -duh- shame on me.

I was touched by it. Your dad seems like a heck of a guy. I miss my dad. Quite a long distance ride. Am glad you weren't hurt or freeze dried.

Catterson has really done a good job with the magazine. He e-mailed me a map a few months ago from his Colorado ride. I like it better with each issue.

Hope we see you on the road or on a Bandit rally soon, ARI. I am sure glad you got on the board.

I've been checking out their site a bit this past month, but have yet to see an actual print issue.
I confess most of the motorcycle rags I've flipped through haven't seemed worth the price for what/how I like to ride. Maybe I'll get someone to get me a subscription for my birthday...
