Woman who fell off motorcycle among fatalities

An unidentified woman, left for dead after she slid off the back of a motorcycle on Interstate 55 in Tangipahoa Parish, was among three people killed on Louisiana highways Thanksgiving Day. Two others died in traffic accidents the night before, State Police said.
The accident involving the motorcycle occurred about 5:45 a.m. Thursday when Troop L received a call that a woman had fallen off the back of a motorcycle and was lying in the northbound lane of the interstate, State Police said.

The driver of the motorcycle, whom investigators believe is a man, fled the scene. State Police said they do not have the names of either the motorcycle operator or the woman who was a passenger on the motorcycle.
