Well, Helllo Craig and others.

I just finished installing everything Craig talks about in this thread to my Red 2007 Bandit 1250S - and I love it!!!

Namely:

E460N TopCase with E79 Backrest
E360N SideCases
FZ539 TopCase Rack
PL539 SideCase Rack
D262S Windshield

Some of the paperwork comes through spec'ing the 2007 Bandit 650 - the Euro model. Take heart, all is well - it's the same bike as far as this stuff goes. The only other issue is that the turn signal wires are not long enough to re-route them the way GIVI specs. I got creative - so will you.

Here is my new Sprt Touring baby!!!

Very nice!  :congrats: (ZenMan said, forcing his revulsion for topcases aside...) Looks like you've done a good "morphing" job there!

Thanks for the clear pics, that's the very first good view I've seen of the sidecase racks and how they attach to the topcase rack.

I see the windscreen is different than the one seen in earlier bike-show pics... how does it work for ya?

Also I noticed you didn't go for the lower fairing... any reason for that besides the extra moolah?
"Hmmm... near certainty of death with little chance of success... what are we waiting for?"

Thank you very much!!

The bottom fairing is $400+ or something and I have not heard of any benefit other than cool looks - which is good if thats what you're going for. Maybe one of you guys will feel nice and make it a Christmas gift for me.......or not.

I plan on the top case for long drives and real live touring - whatever that is. I believe I will be using the side cases as a normal part of the bike when riding all day. The cases come off instantly with the key - which is matched to all the cases - which is cool as well.

The windshield hits me right about the forehead which for me is perfect. It forces air over the top vents in the helmet pulling air through and makes for a nice air flow in the hat. If it was taller, it would be Gold Wing'ish - which I had already and don't want any more.

I am going to buy some mirror extenders or whatever they are called as I am seeing my shoulders too often. I already know what my shoulders look like so a view of the traffic behind would be more in order, eh??

Looks great Phil! Do you notice much turbulence with the Givi shield? How tall are you? I'm 5'7" and not sure that I would need a windshield quite as tall as Givi's. However, I know without a doubt that I will want an aftermarket one judging from my test ride.

Those look really nice.

i've ordered mine from Suzuki. Top case should be in tomorrow and the side cases in a week or so. I can't wait.

Great pictures - nice and clear.

I've been considering putting the lower fairing on mine as well but have no idea how, if any, it would effect the bike. Anyone have any idea?

I am 6'3" tall with 34" of that being inseam. The windsheild hits my head around the forehead - but it's where I like it for the vents on the helmet. I can ride with the visor wide open and not be jerked off the seat by the wind.

I have no experience with the lower fairings, other than seeing them. If they offered some cooling, protection, or other functional benefit other than neato looks, I may conside one. They do look really cool though.

All is well - thanks.

ah man i might have to rethink that sprint st now? if ya dont mind me asking how much did the tri bag set up run ya? i bet i could get a bandit with the tribags for around the same price as the sprint st with bags? the st comes standard with bags for 10999, local dealer here is selling the non abs for 7999, with the bags i figure it would be 1200 more? so with the bags new springs and rear shock. braided lines and new pads about the same price. plus easier to work on. and more relaible. might have to get back on a bandit again.

FZ539 TopRack (1) - $128.70
E360N SideCases (2) - $360.00
E460N TopCase (1) - $192.60
PL539 SideRack (1) - $162.00
Z228 Matched Key Set (1) - $22.50
E79 Backrest (1) - $40.50

All Totalled - $1033.20 plus tax.

I bought it from Tim Nelson at Competition Accessories in Springfield, Ohio (near where the Simpson's live)

They ship anywhere. If you buy from them, tell them Phil with the Bandit sent you - I may get a pat on the back or something....

Also, Craig at GIVIUSA (beginning of Thread) was a lot of help in this process.

See ya - Phil

I got the Suzuki bags, not the Givi ones (though Givi makes them for Suzuki - I got the Suzuki ones to keep the resale value high).

And I paid about $1050 plus tax for everything minus the windshield.

hey thanks guys. from the looks of it i could get a bandit the way i want it for less then the stock sprint st? how is the handling on the new bandit? i want something with bags but still need something i can scratch on. with some work to the suspension could the new 1250 do track days? i am thinking of keeping my triple for that and doing a b1250 up to commute and tour on. i have never been hung up on number on paper, i had a 2000 b12 and loved the power it had. would like to see if i can find a demo ride somewhere. maybe by next summer or fall i can add a bandit to the garage again.

That's funny, I went to school with Tim Nelson and his younger brother.  Where do you live Phil?  I live in Englewood, just north-west of Dayton.
