Good cornering skills are what motorcyclists strive to achieve.

They thrive on testing their skills on tight and twisty roads.

Correct, smooth cornering equates to a constant challenge, and when achieved, the satisfaction is momentary, bofore the hunt is on for the next corner, the next challenge and the next buzz of adrenalin.

Good cornering is akin to a motorcyclists NIRVANA.

True, to string a series of corners together perfectly is almost better than sex......

 Ooowh how true it is!
I rode a Vulcan with poor ground clearance for years. The wife loved those days and till just recently didn't understand my wanting to change to a "sport bike" style. She now has a few good miles on back of the B12 and is starting to understand. She does admit to NOT liking the chican turns though

Since this is a 'safety' forum....I have to remind people to stay in ONE lane when in the twisties!
I see a lot of riders who can get through a corner a lot faster than I can....except they're using both lanes.   That's not too healthy when you have oncoming traffic you might not be able to see around the bend.....

Wish I had saved the picture I saw in a magazine.   A rider was well leaned over in a curve.   His tires were a foot or more into his lane, but his head was hanging at least a foot into the opposing lane.
I remember this picture when I get tempted to use the portion of my lane near the centerline on real twisty roads.  I've got a big head, to boot!

I guess I've been married too long to the same woman... I have to settle for threading the corners together.
I just dream about what sex was like.  :boohoo:
