Ya thats nasty looking alright  Looks like he was wearing protective motorcycle shorts and T-shirt too.
A buudy of mine lives in Midina, Oh., and comutes to the Cleveland airport(piolot). He seen a guy on 271 whos head was laying next to his backwards foot at the foot of a gaurdrail. He said his bike was at least a 1000 ft down the road. He found out he was do wheelies down the busy Hwy. That was a couple of weeks ago, makes me wonder if its the same moron that he seen croked on the road.

Looks like the same clothing, right down to the boots.  That's definitely an "unnatural" position.  I'd say he's DOA right there.  Why else would somebody be snapping a picture whilst the dude is lying on the pavement without anybody helping him?  Also, note the latex glove next to his body, no doubt left behind by the EMT who checked him.

His head is still attached and is nowhere near his foot, so I would say this fellow is different from the I-271 wheelie-gone-bad your pilot friend witnessed.

I'm an E.M.T. and I can pretty well tell you he has passed buy a few things in the picture. There would have been massive bleeding from the leg injury alone, both external and enternal. If you look close at his arm you will notice that it seems to no longer be attached to his body either because of the angle and the color of it. Also look at the surgical glove. E.M.S. was there kind of sign. Probably checked him for vitals and realised there was nothing more to do for him put pray.
It is a nasty scene but one that occurs all to frequntly these days as show offs try to impress there friends. Pro stunt riders wear the propper protective gear the novices just don't seem to get that part of the show.

 That's a good one Nathan...

The pics real enough, but the rider's are different.  Somebody's goofin on the net trying to create publicity with mismatched pics, which is obviously working.

The rider on the bike has black gloves on.  The down rider still has his watch and shoes on.  Doubt the EMT's would have removed the gloves, but left the watch or shoes.  I agree with Brian, they showed up allright, but didn't have much to do except pray by the time they arrived.

Mike, even in the 75-100 foot slide I took a year ago, one glove and my watch came off.
Not sure this is a before/after pitcure of the same rider, or may be same rider, different days.

Not sure how that damage to the leg could happen in a slide, unless it got caught under the bike.

Good God, that's disgusting!  (where are all the pukey's when you need them?)

I don't know Mike, I think that's a match.  The way the guy's right leg is hanging off the bike could very easily have caused that carnage to his knee.  Everything else matches as far as I can tell.  Given his other choices in "gear", I'll bet those glove are just those cheapy cotton work gloves that would have come right off in that kind of a tumble.

Guess we'll never know...  I kinda agree he would have lost more than just gloves...  It's just wierd he has gloves in the pic, none on the ground, but still has his watch and tenies on.

here's  couple o funny's fom the same site:  I like the dude who tries to beat the breathalyzer.

Gloves Gone?
« Reply #10 on: April 19, 2005, 02:21:38 PM »
That's why I always cinch that little strap on the bottom of the wrist of my M/C gloves.  I'd hate for them to fly off while I'm flying thru the air/sliding along the pavement.  I'm constantly seeing pics of people who've had a get-off with NASTY road rash to their palms, and that hurts like hell, even from a bicycle get-off.

Not that it would have helped that poor son of a gun in Pete's pic.  His palms were the least of his worries.

Man, that's disgusting. :annoy:

I'm recovering from an ACL reconstruction surgery on my left knee (non-motorcycle related). Just seeing that makes my knee hurt.
