New 2010 Honda VFR
« on: October 15, 2009, 01:52:48 PM »
Pretty nice, IMHO.  :thumb:  Wasn't real hot about it's looks when I first saw pics, but the more I look at it, the more I like it.
Looks like they'll be having an "automatic" version, too.

US Honda VFR1200 mini site

UK Honda VFR1200 mini site <- IMHO, this one's better!

There's optional factory luggage, so bikes like the FJR & Connie have a new competitor.

Didnt work for me either, but if you go to http://powersports.honda.com/, one of the first things you will see presented is the new 2010 Viffer.  Looks pretty cool to me.

I was waiting for the new VFR before I decided to buy the Triumph ST 1050.

The new Viffer looks OK to me, I'll have go wait until I see one live to really tell, but I could grow to like the looks. The exhaust looks off to me at the moment. The "Dual-Clutch Automatic looks interesting, but likely a little gimmicky.

I had really hoped for a 500 lb, 1000 cc, chain drive, better suspended, upgraded brakes VFR, but as I grow older, this unit might peak my interest. For now I happy I opted for the Sprint.

Another link, this one from Cycle World.  Quite a few pics in the photo gallery, too.

Hmmm... still works for me, but try just going to the CW site and if it doesn't show up as something clickable on their front page (which it does right now, as I type this), look under the "First Looks" tab.

Maybe if it shed some clothes it would be significantly under 600lbs!   :yikes:  Good lord!

I think it looks good and sounds like it would be real nice to ride.

Thats what I thought, looks like it would be a desent bike for the long haul. Probably could fall in love with it if I were able to do long trips. But it really needs to loose some weight if you were to have it for short sprints, track days and all around comuting.

anyone have any opinions about the shaft drive? I know its more maintenance free on a chain, but the only bike I ever had with a shaft drive took some getting used to.
