Howdy, all

Collected my 2008 GSF1250SA last Friday.
Nearly time for the 100km service (600 mile for you US folk)

Lovin'the bike. Just need a taller screen for my 6 1/2 foot length and she should all be great.

Looking forward to some long travels and mods 'n stuff.

Oh, yeah, I am in Sydney, Asutralia.

ciao, :beers:

Dave.

Congrats on your new beastie. It will surely be a lot of fun. I think you missed a zero on KM in the original message. Sometime nuthin counts.

I've looked at tours/rentals of Autralia and they all seem to feature the 600ish Bandit. Is this a liability thing, (likely), or does it reflect a heavy tax or insurance rates, on bike size?

Lucky you, summer is ahead.

Howdy, Slider

Yup, you are right with the zero thing. Bad proof-reading on my part.

Not sure about difference with the bike size bit.
Registration over here (NSW) is a bit weird. Under 300cc is cheap. Over 300cc, no matter what it is, is the same price.

Insurance, on the other hand... :yikes:

If you are planning to tour for a while, it is probably worth looking at buying and then selling at the end.
