Classy Classic
« on: November 10, 2009, 10:59:56 AM »
One of by friends just sent me pics of his restoration project.  I thought I would share the pics since he's done such a nice job and I know many of you enjoy the Classics (even if it's hard to call bikes from our youth as such).
The pics were taken on the day of it's initial post-resto engine start.  The rear brake pedal (LH side) is off to observe belt drive conversion during initial run.

Runs fine in the driveway... he's waiting for dry pavement to take it for it's first ride... might be able to pull it off today if the current weather holds - which this time of years around here could be a small miracle.

You should've seen what it looked like when he started!  It was a collection of nasty looking parts, most in boxes.  A genuine basket case!

My thoughts as well. Great looking bike Red. Those Akront alloy wheels really shined up well!

Give your buddy a high 5 from me.
