« on: February 08, 2009, 01:11:40 AM »
I cant seem to find in it in search, but I was trying to figure out how the bike series is determined. Like if you say you have a B12 or etc.. Just trying to figure out the hierarchy if some one could help me out w/ that... :thanks:

B4 = Bandit 400
B6 = Bandit 600
B6.5 = Bandit 650
B12 = Bandit 1200
B12.5 = Bandit 1250

Check out the Wiki section to determine the "Generation" of the various Bandits. My GSF600S would be a 2nd Gen, B6.

+1 on the Wiki (link at top of page) for a great resource.

The problem with "series" is that some model years saw two different generations (series) of different sizes at the same time.

I believe you have a '97 or '98, which makes it a first generation.
