Wich side do you pass on?

Just curious. Here in the States, when riding on a 4 lane road or highway, the left or inside lane is the passing lane. I was wondering for those of you in countries that ride on the left side...wich lane do you pass in? I assume the standard would be the right side since this would be where to pass if it were only 2 lanes...is this correct?

Depends on where the gap is - In the the of Oz the law on divided roads (freeways - 4 lane roads.highways) is supposed to be "Keep left unless overtaking" - I've lost count of how many times people sit in the outside (Right Hand) lane doing 80 in a 100 zone, then get pissed at you when you 'under' take them on the left - bstrds....

here in the uk we drive on the left, and overtake on the lanes to the right, on the motorways, the same rules apply but no one takes any notice and you find people sitting in the middle or outside lane for miles and miles and miles

Same here, in NZ we drive in the left hand lane unless overtaking. Similar story though that alot of cage drivers hang in the righthand lane and force others including bikes to pass on the left. On a multilane highway the slower vehicles are supposed to stay in the far left lane.
One thing that is allowed, is that a motorcycle is allowed to pass another vehicle in the same lane as long as there is room to do so safely.

The Law does state down here, that all passing shall be on the right side.
But as Aussie has already pointed out, Mr Right hand lane man/woman.
And as I have pointed out many many times, traffic police are so rare on the ground it don't matter, so if there's a gap, I'll bloody well take it. So its either side for me.
