Buying a project bike (non bandit) tell me it's a bad idea

 A GS500 would be a good choice,there a group called the GS possie that races them.Easy on tires,not too much weight. You would just have to see what your options are for suspension, you could make rearsets.
  Theres a 86 VFR at my buddys shop that I could make into a racer. But funds will be going elsewhere. I hope to build a pole barn this year.

sorry guys my true color comes out. go with the GPz it will out turn a gs any day. how do i know i own at least 1 size GPz that came here. yes i have a 305 GPz. did somebody say something about a TURBO! the xn85 is a cool bike and there ain't whole lot of them out there BUT nothing bets a GPz750 turbo. kinda like the bandit when the boost comes on. really fun to ride on cool days like somebody added another 50 hp. anyway buy the GPz way more parts out there for them and if u go vintage i think u can stuff a 750 motor in it

i always liked the gpz's myself, especially the 1100 eddie lawson replica . Probably would have bought a zrx1200 if I had found one , love the retro looks

bro-in-law has an Eddie Lawson he bought new back in the day. it's got like 2500 miles on it. i have seen him turn down 10,000 bucks for it !! when the first zrx1100 came out he got one to match his elr but sadly it didn't last long a blue hair got it one morning on his way home from work. now he has zrx1200 he got cheap from a kid who couldn't handle the power. i never liked the 1200 as much as the 1100 feels huge when u ride it that's 1 reason i got the bandit and we have this friendly competition going on between us and it's been like that since we were teenager's even before we met the sisters. his first street bike 70 H1 my first street bike 74 H2 and so it goes

I never knew there was any significant difference between the ZRX1100 & 1200 - besides cc's.
Spec sheets read nearly identical.  Perhaps it's the 1200's 10mm wider rear tire that makes the difference?

Well I may have found my track bike 97 Kawasaki 600... won't stop me from closing a deal on the GPZ 550, but there is a chance  yes thats right I may just buy both...the living room isn't big enough to store all of them  ...there will be problems.

Push the bed against one wall and there may be enough room to put the bike on the other side.  Just get in & out of bed at the foot.

I've often debated getting another RD350 - like I had in my youth. I'm pretty sure I've convinced myself it's better to leave it as a fond memory - but who knows, if the right one came around, I might change my mind.
(Especially if it was THE same bike.)

If you're looking for a track toy, I'd think you'd want something a little more modern and better - unless you wanna run Vintage.
