  I dislike being the one to tell you, Rob, but it is not going to get better... :stickpoke:  How are you doing in that little corner of PA?..Lynn...

Lynn?  I used to know a guy named Lynn.  He had a Happy Bus, too!

Most likely it's the same guy, older, no wiser...probably been watching the changes around here, seeing how things shake out.... :congrats:

I'm still not sure why a bike with 18K on the clock would be on its third tensioner, though (the PO had changed it once already).

Known issue with the CBRs...

Yeah, I know.  It's not nearly as common on ZX's though.   :stickpoke:  The funny thing is my wrung out CBR is on the orig CCT after 7000 track miles.

I'm an idiot.  Hope I've at least managed to amuse you!

If it makes you feel better I lost my right side fairing on the FZR while riding and didn't notice it until the next morning.

Haha, I've got a similar story. One Saturday took the Bandit to the bank to get cash out. Come back outside, key will NOT go in. The top part of the key hole has a metal ring that was just spinning every which way. WTF??? Great, new to me bike and I already broke the key lock cylinder.

I'm going through my options, either calling the girlfriend or go ahead and phone AAA up. I glimpse the key out of the corner of my eye, oh good lord. I was trying to use my Jeep key instead of my Bandit key. DOH! I don't like carrying unnecessary things with me so I had removed my Jeep key from my keychain and the bike key was by itself as well.

Haven't done it since though! Sheesh!

Me too.
I was riding with a Beemer guy to meet up with a club of them. They accepted me for a while as an honourary  friend, freak or something -for awhile.
I was riding behind, the Beemer(s) went first... when I lost all power -engine quite and I tried all I knew while slowly decelerating down a long steep hill. There was a gas station at the bottom and he noticed and pulled in -me too. 'Twas the "Kill switch" guys. Never use the %$#@!^&* thing. Hit it some how. Beemer guy looked at me like I must be a newbie clutz-thought I had decades of riding on this guy.

One other time on something REALLY simple.
I was a teen and my Dad had a VIP guest stopping to visit in the driveway. I was trying to start a large flywheel pull start mower on a hot day. Pull, pull, pull, pull etc. Covered in sweat, I walked up to dad and said the %$#@!&* won't start. He noted that the spark plug wire was off, (by me to clean underneath). He kept a heroic straight face but the other guy dam near popped. :duh:

Skink away, slink away -hide -hide.
