I guess of all the bikes I drooled over in the passing years, this is the one I'd like to have owned.

Early 1990's RC-30.

I've owned a couple of Honda V-Fours and loved them a bunch. They have a texture that is really sweet and flexibility that is beyond most bikes.
Heb 11:6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Here's a dream bike for someone!

If only I didn't keep hearing rumors of quirky engines.

Sorry, JimBob, Geocities isn't a share friendly site, so your pic is a red X.

Red01: WHAT! :?: Not the new 675 triple? I think that one is better looking than the 650-4

Oops!  I linked to the wrong pic.  Of COURSE I want the new triple.

Here's a question for you all.  If you have a 1200cc 4-banger motorbike, why does a 675cc 3-banger call to you?

Don't get me wrong 'cuz I dig the 675, but what will it do for me that my Bandit won't?  Besides dent my bank account?

And why not rather the bigger Daytona 955i?

While I like the 675, it doesn't call to me. I just can't handle those kind of ergos anymore... now if I was 20 again...

What I'd imagine makes the call though, is similar horsepower to the B12 with less weight and better handling - and being different from the average 600 class sportbike because it's a triple and not Japanese. (You could wear that cool looking Triumph log and Union Jack with pride or ownership.)

Why not the 955i then? Perhaps because it's not as good looking or as nimble?

Not as good lookin'?  Oh, you're a tough audience!  How's the Sprint ST grab you?

The Sprint is a nice bike but I really think all you biker dudes and dudettes are missing the boat when it comes to cc's!  Bigger is not alway better!  More cc's is not always the way to go!!  May I offer a nice little 650 as evidence?

Furthermore, if you should happen along the Interstate and end up in Southern Ontario, I shall make this promise:  My little 650 will kick all your 1200 cc a$$es; on the straights, on the narrows , on the bends, over a cliff!  Name the time and the place and I'll be there, my $29.99 GMax cinched tightly around my chin!

(only canadian monopoly money to be bet   )

I love the looks of the new Sprint ST!  :bigok:

The magazines haven't been very kind to it though. Complaints of a seat like a plank, exhaust that roasts your right leg and hard bags that are a PIA to R&R and leak. (Some complained the bags were too wide - not really a big concern unless you lane split.)

Well, of the complaints the Bandit reviews have received, saet like a plank and roasting exhaust were not on their list...

And while the Sprint's seat would be an easy fix with an aftermarket unit, the exhaust and bag issues aren't so easy. For me that's a bummer, because otherwise, it might be a bike on my wish list.

Geez, sounds like they took design tips from KTM.  Them are hard seats.  Calling them hard as a brick is selling them short.

Wow.  How long since you've been on a Bandit stock seat?  :stickpoke:   Perhaps your fanny is better padded than mine?

And let me show you my right calf!  Permanent scars from repetitive burns.  Ouch!

I went to a Corbin because I wasn't happy with the stock seat, but I still wouldn't rank it in the "plank" category. Never had any issues with my exhaust though - other than occasionally touching my heel to the mid-pipe, but then I also have pegs in a non-stock location that puts them even closer to the pipe than Hamamatsu intended.

All I'm saying is if you find the Bandit seat & exhaust uncomfortable, don't even think about a Sprint 1050...
