Riding boots
« on: November 12, 2007, 01:20:09 PM »
I have narrow feet, which makes it difficult to find any type of boots. I could get some Corcoran jump boots from the US Cavalry store in Kentucky, or some Red Wings (if I wanted cruiser style). Does anyone know of motorcycle specific boots that are made in narrow sizes?

Thanks.

Have you tried Sidi's? I've heard they fit really narrow. If you have and you're really stuck, you could do a lot worse than those jump boots or Red Wings.

Thanks. I'll have to search a place that sells them, or check out their website.

Yep,.. I tried a couple of pairs on too.  I found them tight,.. in the calf a little too.  Ok if you have no muscle or fat,... not as good if you have a lot of either or both.

Also,.. what r_outsider didn't mention is that he has a pair of "forced entry" swat boots, from a military surplus store.  Cost about $100.  (see R?  I remembered,.. I'm not calling them "fourth century" boots anymore. :stickpoke:)

I wear boots from Sidi also and they are a bit narrow, I wear the Doha, their more like hard wearing shoes but better then the Air Jordans.

Thanks everyone. I'll definitely check out the Sidi after Christmas. It seems I have to buy gifts for everyone else right now, lol.

Nitro, you will find that most Italian-made boots fit a little narrower than "normal" boots. My wife has hard-to-fit feet that are narrow and with a high instep. Apparently only $300+ Italian-made shoes fit her properly......and she can give Imelda Marcos a run, on a good day.

I'll probably try the Sidi ones when I get a chance. One of my PCs just died, so I have to resurrect it. Thanks.

Heck, Stormi, I might have spent $300 lifetime on shoes, if I added them all up.....excepting riding boots, too, of course.
I figure if her feet are happy, she's happy.....and it's seemed to work out for both of us for 35+ years.....
