Have you used this stuff? I've read good things about it, but I haven't seen a single post which would suggest as to how much to use if I want to give my carbs a little spring cleaning without taking them apart... Any suggestions?

I used it when I first bought my bike and I have used it in my car. I didn't notice much of a difference but I didn't have an carb problems either. I did not notice a difference in mpg either.

Most will give it a try to clear up a problem before tearing into the carbs etc. My 1G B12 started idling rough or not fueling on # 4 for no reason! a 1/2 can of sea foam over the next 2 tank fulls and it got better on the first one and cleared thru the second! I don't think this will fix everything but it dissolved what ever i had plugged up!

I've heard of this product being used as a preservative like StaBil, but it's not very popular down south. I have also heard good things about it's clearing ability....give it a shot! Let us know.

The can I've got says 1oz per gallon (US). You can run it stonger than that if you feel the need. Double strength is OK, especially if you're trying to save something from "old" gas.

My son-in-law swears by this stuff and likes it better than Sta-Bil as a long term gas preservative... and he heads the parts and service center of a sales/rent-all outfit.

I use it in chainsaws, lawnmowers, snowblowers, and motorcycles. It does help keep the carbs clean. I still add Stabil in the winter months.

Kinda pointless to add StaBil if you use SeaFoam, both will keep gas from going stale.

I start my boat motors with a mix of Sea Foam every year. I've used it on the B12, lawn mowers and such. I've had good luck with it. My Uncle got me started on it. He is a mechanic and swears by it.

Like Zee said. I use about 1 oz to a gallon. You don't really have to measure all that accurately in my experience. I just dump some in the tank.

Am I the only one that has had a bad experience with sea foam? I tried it cause my 1200 wasn't starting and just backfired when I tried. I changed the plugs and it fired right up with no hesitation. I have heard a ton about this stuff so I decided to give it a try and run a bit thru....Now I can't get my bike to start again. I got to drain the tank and put some fresh gas in it. Who knows, maybe it just koncked some gunk loose somewhere and will help me down the road.

Its just a more concentrated form of the good stuff in the better gas out there! Too much will only break loose problem stuff lurking in the fuel sys sooner! But if your tank is rusty it will cause you a prob in a hurry.
