Used 2007 B1250 in Honolulu, Hi
« on: October 20, 2007, 05:13:32 AM »
Ok, I am a travel RN and had to divest myself of two wheeled pleasures prior to leaving the mainland behind for a while. I have the opportunity to buy an 07' red B1250 in Honolulu from a motorcycle dealer. It has 800 miles on it. No oil leaks, no signs of having been down, no rust on the chain and the sprokets look new. The tires still have the injector nubs on them. The MC dealer does not carry Suzuki (Kawasaki, Aprilia, and HD) but they seem like honest folks.

My question is... Even if the previous owner dogged the daylights out of this bike, is it still a wise purchase? The 08's won't be out for awhile and the 07's were gone back home before you could blink. I really miss having two wheels under me.

I have been waiting since the 05's were gone for a B1250 and now I can have my bike in the color I want. I just don't want to spend a lot of money on a headache.

Advice or comments are encouraged and recommended. Thanks in advance.

If the price is right, go for it!
If the 1250 is like the 1200 (and most other road-going Suzukis) as far as initial service, it was due at 600 miles, so I'd want proof it was done as a condition of sale.  It would be acceptable to me if the Kawi dealer did it.

Paul, tellin' me what I want to hear? LOL. Thanks for the vote of confidence. It helps to hear it from long time Suzuki riders.
