Okay Article On A Smaller Cruiser - Course It's a Suzuki!!!
« on: April 20, 2006, 10:16:55 PM »
I keep wondering - why do suzuki's rock so?  I feel like writing a poem!  How about "Ode To Suzuki"?

This is from today's toronto globe and mail and it's the c50 - they say it's basically as good as the c90!

Nice looking bike but I like the M50 better.

Ode To Suzuki

You know I love bikes
but I must really be candid
I end up shouting 'yikes'
cause I'm riding a Bandit!

The wife says, 'do this and carry a load!'
While I ignore her and fly down the road!
Carving through canyons and round swooping curves
I find my inner child and yes! even steely nerves!

It's true I wake up an ordinary joe
but pulling on helmet and jacket and sidi over toe
I become a cool guy who can race with the best
Though I have to go home at lunch and rest!

My boss says, 'Get off there and go to do some work now!'
But I just hit the throttle and take a little bow
You see lots of people stare and think I am nifty,
Little do they know it's just a 650!

The chicks seem to swoon every time I ride by
Till I take off my helmet and then they go, 'sigh'
On my bike I beat all, even my pal Dave Manucci,
Cause of an unfair advantage - I ride a SUZUKI!!

Hey!  I've used bricks before for long runs in a cage without cruise - a smaller brick for 80 clicks and a larger one for 120!  Could I put the same advanced technology to work on the Bandit??

Sort of... but instead of a brick, use an O-ring. You slide it beteen the throttle grip and the bar end to hold the twist grip in place. Get a fat one so you can easily roll it back and forth.

The most popular one is available from your local Caterpillar dealer:
Cat o-ring #8M4991
